The crowning feature of Creighton Farms is the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, which takes advantage of the property’s natural rolling terrain. Creighton Farms opened in April 2008 to great acclaim, being named one of the ‘Best New Courses in 2008’ by Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Travel + Leisure Golf – one of only two private courses in the world to be recognized by all three publications. In 2009, Golfweek recognized Creighton Farms as one of the Best New Private Courses in America. The course is poised for certain recognition as one of the region’s finest tests of golf and is a must-play experience.

The golf course places a premium on strategy and precision over power, and offers golfers of all abilities a stimulating variety of holes that combine for a challenging and memorable experience. Measuring 7,410 yards, the layout delicately winds its way around a creek, amongst mature trees and into verdant meadows that once acted as hunting grounds for our country’s first president. As Nicklaus discovered, “The land was perfect for an exceptional course.  I simply has to peel away the cover to reveal its true potential.”

Creighton Farms also received the distinction of being certified through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, a program that recognizes golf courses for their commitment to protecting the environment by enhancing precious natural areas and wildlife habitats.  In order to achieve Audubon Certification, a golf facility is required to demonstrate that it is maintaining the highest degree of environmental quality in several areas including Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.

Ultimately, an elegant Clubhouse will offer members a wealth of amenities and activities, including fine and casual dining, a full-service spa, tennis courts, a resort-style swimming pool, state-of-the-art wellness center and a children’s activity center.  The gated community is also planned to include an Athletic Club that will be separate from the Clubhouse facilities.  The elegant Golf House at Creighton Farms overlooks a world-class practice facility and houses The Golf Shoppe and restaurant.
